Cell phones have been struck by the overheating battery/faulty charger… so have laptops and netbooks. Now it’s the turn of portable DVD players and nobody is more at risk from negative customer blowback than eBay resellers.
Some of the major electronics retailers to have got caught up in the fire include Disney, Toshiba, Mintek Digital, Polaroid, Welkin, Coby and Thomson. Either there have been minor burns due to batteries bursting or major recalls due to faulty parts and potential lawsuits.
Cheap, portable DVD players are portable DVD players that are at the lower end of the pricing scale. They are typically priced in the $100 to $200 range, with most being priced closer to the lower limit of the price range. With a few exceptions, most of the players in this segment of the portable DVD player market are not the big names in the industry. Low-priced models from Coby, Mustek, Astar, CyberHome, and Audiovox dominate the cheap portable DVD players‘ segment.

I ended up buying a car charger. The AC plug zonked out also. So, I ended buying another one. Those two items together cost just about as much as the DVD player.... Read more reviews | ||
