If you want to use the USB or SD inputs the video format that works the best is SVCD, the AVI formats mostly did not work with various codecs. Buy Samsung BP-1600 from Best Buy two weeks ago. Same price as Amazon and saved me the wait for shipping. So far so good. Play both Blu-ray and regular DVD movies. Upload time varies from several seconds to 10 seconds, maybe.
Read a review of many complain about the firmware upgrade that allows the player is not working properly. Well, my update this morning and have no problem. Powerline adapter I used the device on the Internet using an Ethernet cable. The download process took about 15 minutes and the whole process could update 20 minutes. I tried both Blu-ray and regular DVD and then had no functional problem with the player.

This is a good player and cheap DVDs. If you only want to watch DVDs and are not really into all the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive models, this time will be well. E 'ideal for an office environment, which is where I spend mine.

1 Slowly game. (over 10 sec)
2 Compared to my old DVD player is very limited and the control is not so easy. (For example, working in television, you can modify the source code control, but can not "choose", because there is no back button!) And there are some features (which I used my old DVD player, as a selection of scenes) is not accessible if you stop playing.
3 Image and sound are definitely better than my old DVD player, but the functionality and speed are much worse.
